Thought to be SITA's only Leyland Tiger, 61, new in 1987, is seen at Moonee Ponds probably in August 1992. The bus also had regos QLQ417 and DFM415, neither of which it carries here!

Is it the same bus or not? Seen at the West Footscray depot in August 2008 numbered 20 (2320AO) is another Tiger. This definitely has a PMCSA body and according to busaustralia.com was previously numbered 61 with the regos QLQ417 and DFM415. Let us know if you can solve the puzzle.

This Volgren bodied Volvo combo, seen at Moonee Ponds in August 2002, was typical of the fleet to the end when Transit Systems took over.

Seen the same monh was another Volgren bodied B10M, 62 (DIT893). Originally it was 71 in 1988 and repeatedly renumbered until setting on 9 (2309AO).

Breaking the Volvo stranglehold in 2001 was a batch of pioneering Scania L94UB low floor buses. Volgren though secured the body order supplying the CR221L model. This is 151 (2151AO) new in 2002 and seen at Williamstown in April 2004.

Back st Moonee Ponds that April was standard Volgren bodied Volvo B10M 85 (2385AO) of 1986.

Seen at the same time was a seemingly identical bus, 83 (2389AO), but this dates from 1995 on the rear endined Volvo B10B chassis. It was one of several such machines subsquently sold to Pulitano Group's Mansfield Mount Buller Bus Lines as 78 (7378AO) for ski shuttles.

A pair of Volvos parked up in April 2004. In the lead is nine month old Volvo B12BLE 56 (5356AO). The new low floor Volvo chassis allowing the same low floor - and aircon - credentials to be emblazoned along the roofline of its CR221L body as on Scania 151 above.

An older contingent of Volgren bodied Volvos. Nearest the camera is B10M 28 (2328AO) of 1993, then a pair of B10B Volvos which did not go to Mansfield Mount Buller: 1996 80 (2380AO) and 1998 92 (2392AO). The next Volvo is B10M 29 (2329AO) of 1993.

The West Footscray depot is very good at parking similar buses together. Unfortunately one B12BLE, 2007 47 (6310AO), has slipped into the line of B10M and B12B models.

Following the Melbourne tradition of acquiring time expired buses from elsewhere for rail replacement work - heaven forbid that a comfortable modern vehicle be used! - SITA acquired a number of CR222L bodied Volvo B10L buses for this work from Brisbane Transport. Seen on rail work in April 2018 is 286 (5498AO), one of 21 B10L buses from Brisbane, but only four bodied by Volgren, this was new as 602 (602FDL) in 2000.
