Stunning additions to the commuter fleet in 2000 were a batch of MCI 102DLA3 in metallic green and silver. MCI 6033 shows what can be done with graphics on the new digital destination screens as it leaves the Bay Area Transit Terminal in downtown San Francisco.

The new Salesforce Transit Center opened just over a year before this picture of MCI D4500 6069 was taken there in November 2019. Many of the MCI coaches had by then been displaced by the new fleet of Alexander Dennis doubledeckers.

The Transit Center is several stories above ground level so commuter coaches arrive directly from the Bay Bridge. MCI D4500 6045 can be seen way above street level entering the Center.

This D45 CRT LE is a strange beast. Unlike European coaches low floor access is achieved not through the front door but by a new centre entrance, visible here on 6327.

The Salesforce Transit Center is literally topped off by a roof top garden which provides views of the special bus only road way leading from the Bay Bridge into the Bus Station. Note that this pair of new MCI coaches, 6306 followed by 6304. has swapped to the other side of the road ready for their doors to align with the kerb in the station on the offside of the coach.

Leaving the Salesforce Transit Center 6304 approaches the traffic lights which will enable it to switch to the normal carriageway for left-hand driis literally topped off by a roof top garden which provides views of the special bus only road way leading from the Bay Bridge into the Bus Station. Note that this pair of new MCI coaches has swapped to the other side of the road ready for their doors to align with the kerb in the station on the offside of the coach.
