Having taken several batches of GMC New Look "Fishbowls" since 1961, twenty year old 7014, seen in the LAX Bus Station with a Santa Monica MCI, was the first of the last delivery of eight in 1974.

Ten Gillig Phantoms were delivered in 1983 with a few more RTS buses, the last from GMC! Eight Flxibles arrived in 1991 and apart from two secondhand from Fresno around the same time that was it until the first New Flyers in 1998. This is the rear aspect of the first of the Flxibles, 7050.

With Santa Monica adopting its all blue "bigbluebus" image and LA Metro a vibrant orange, as seen on New Flyer 5111 alongside, Culver Citybus went for all over green as shown on C40LF 7073 at LAX in April 2005.

Viewed from above in January 2002 is C40LF 7090 from the next batch of 22 delivered in 2001. Unlike the first batch which had Detroit Diesel engines, these were Cummins powered, representing a further break with General Motors. The Flxibles and Gilligs were also Detroit powered.

Two more small batches of C40LF gas buses arrived in 2003 (6) and 2004 (8) then deliveries switched to New Flyer's "new look" revised curved front buses with a small batch of six in 2009. Thereafter the Xcelsior range took over and this is 7131, the last of the first batch, delivered in 2012 and seen in October 2013 outside the Culver City Honda dealer. As of 2026 all 40 New Flyer C40LF buses had been withdrawn from service.

The 2003 batch of New Flyers were six short C30LF models. Seen by that Culver Honda delaer in October 2013 is 7097. The batch has also been withdrawn and the fleet not receiving any equivalent replacement models.

The advent of "Rapid" services resulted in a number of buses receiving this silver and two tone green livery. Heading for the Green Line Station near LAX in October 2017 is Xcelsior XN40 7117, new in 2011 and repainted in Rapid colours.
