Enterprising independent Anglian Bus bid for Green Fund money to obtain a fleet of a dozen gas powered buses. The little comany was bought by Go-Ahead as it established itself - until 2025 - in East Anglia. The routes the MAN 18.270 buses were deployed upon enjoyed a growth in traffic so needed to be replaced by doubledeckers, so a new home for the gas fleet was found in Plymouth. Here is 704 (AU62DWN), former 607, with its Caetano body, on Royal Parade, headed on the 43 to Ernsettle with a host of native Enviro400 buses behind.
