Seen in the early seventies at Newbury Bus Station, a Crosville MW coach is on layover in company with an earlier Royal Blue MW and Thames Valley Bristol LH6L 213 (VMO233H). |

For Millennium Showbus, Ian Allan operated former Royal Blue 2250 (617DDV) on an excursion from the London area. The coach parked next to the Ian Allan stand to help promote the latest in the 'Glory Days' series about Royal Blue.

The coach was also adjacent to the Jotus stand from Hong Kong. Bristol 2250 was one of the Southern National owned Royal Blue coaches. The fleet having been a joint operation with Western National and the legal ownership of the vehicles resting with one or other of the bus companies.

A few years later another battalion of Royal Blue coaches was back helping out beleagured Alder Valley. Lined up in the Thorn Walk depot yard in Reading were, left to right, 1398 (736MDV), 2268 (57GUO), 1404 (742MDV), 2270 (253KTA) and 2243 (622DDV). The one at right angles on the extreme right is not identified.

In 2008 Showbus celebrated the centenary of the Bristol chassis. No less than three Royal Blue coaches of contrasting styles share the display with Bristol Greyhound 2138 (BHU92C) with yet another verson of the ECW body on MW chassis. Nearest the camera is 2250 (617DDV) of 1960, beyond the Greyhound are 1410 (759MDV) of 1963 and 1967 1436 (HDV641E). |

Western National Royal Blue 2238 (XUO721) ended its days in Devon General NBC service bus livery and without its front grill. It is seen preserved in these colours at a rather wet Southsea Rally. |
