Transport Lausanne has just taken delivery of its first Alexander Dennis Enviro500MMC following on from the firs Swiss order for Postbus and featured in Pic of the Week this time last year. The buses are due to take over route 60 next week which starts in the city centre and drivers were seen on the route undergoing type familiarisation. Meantime those already delivered were put to work on the 62 which starts at Croissettes, the northern terminus of the m2 metro line. The buses head further north at considerable speed along a dual carriageway where 541 is seen from an overpass on Wednesday. Note the mountains in the distance. They are now sharing the route with its previsous incumbents, MAN doubledeckers.
There will be more pictures in the 2019 SHOWBUS brochure in "Enviromania 3", the third in the SHOWBUS brochure series on Enviros worldwide. Enviromania 1 appeared in the 2015 brochure and Enviromania 2 in 2017. This year's will feature both Swiss deliveries and Enviro500 and 200XLB models in New Zealand amongst others.
