A unique vehicle in Autralia - so far - is this electric battery powered Yutong E12, 8083 (MO8083). Originally a demonstrator used by Premier in Wollongong, the bus was acquired by Transit Systems for its Sydney fleet after a demonstration spell with them. It joins their small batch of Gemilang bodied BYD electric buses. The largest batch of electric buses in Australia is the BYD buses with Carbridge on car park shuttles at Sydney Airport. Apart from a temperamental solar powered bus in Adelaide and a fuel cell Citaro in Perth that is about it for Australia's green bus technology.
