Another electric bus this week, but a different technology to the all battery buses seen recently. This is a Volvo 7900E of the Harrogate Bus Company, 808 (BN68XSD) seen in its home town last month. Unlike the electrics we have seen so far these Volvos have a smaller battery capacity, insufficient for a day's work, but they are on route in and out of Harrogate Bus Station where they recharge their batteries every trip using an overhead pantograph, what is known in the trade as "opportunity charging".
