Excitement is gathering in Nottingham over the fleet of clean new gas buses arriving in the city. East Lancs bodied Scania N94UD 737 (YN04UJZ) seen in teh city this Thursday in Lilac Line livery is due to be replaced by one of the new Alexander Dennis Enviro400City bodied Scania N280UD buses. Several are already in service on the Green Line services. The strip on the front above "Nottingham City Transport" proclaims "Sparkly new Gas buses coming soon", though whether "spark" and "gas" should appear together in the same sentence might be a cause for concern! This week no less than five of Nottingham's gas bus fleet have booked in for the SHOWBUS display at nearby by Donington Park on September 17th, in four different liveries. They will be parked in a prominent part of the site so you cannot miss them.
