No apologies for another electric bus from Holland. This time the mega impressive VDL Citea SLFA-181 Electric. These buses are operated by Hermes on what is now the Bravo network in the Eindhoven area. Arriva also have a share of the Bravo network outside of the city. On the prvious visit to Eindhoven Hermes was operating the revolutionary VDL Phileas on these airport routes, with their new automatic on board fare collection system. The Phileas was similar in concept to the Wright Streetcar. This is 9537 (97-BHX-1) - similar buses were entering service across Holland, examples being seen at Schipol and Groningen. GVB in Amsterdam also had several but the front end styling was less streamlined. All made use of opportunity charging to extend their range and availability.
