The MILLENNIUM SHOWBUS Rally will feature many attractions.
THE BUS STATION - a new feature of Showbus, will be the area immediately in front of the new
American Air Museum, which will be the Bus Station for vehicles coming and going on the
Duxford Village Tours throughout the afternoon.
For youngsters there will be an opportunity to ride on a miniature bus at the east end of the Duxford site.
The bus is a model Southdown Queen Mary PD3 and a real one - together with other Southdown buses -
will be parked alongside.
Delaine celebrate their 110th birthday at Millennium Showbus with 5 of their current fleet,
and preserved buses are expected too.
Hedingham will be celebrating their 40th birthday with us - check out their fleet entries, including
RGV284N, which appeared at Showbus 74!.
Mike Sutcliffe's Leyland Torpedo charabanc is arriving by low loader - rally number 450.

Preston Bus support the rally for the first time with a MetroRider.
The proposed Dutch entries gain Ministry of Transport approval for their visit.
Ian Allan announce they should be launching a book on Royal Blue at Showbus and will
be running a Royal Blue Bristol MW to the event.
They are also planning an issue of BUSES FOCUS to come out at Showbus, which
will look at the last Leyland Olympian to be built - it is hoped the W-reg Alexander Royale of
Yorkshire Coastliner will be at the event with the first Olympian, another W-reg bus of MK Metro.
Changes in the BUSES FOCUS plans mean that the 'build-a-Trident' article and appropriate Go-Ahead
bus will not be at Showbus. The monthly BUSES magazine will be available and will be published
just a few days before.
EFE will be producing their Leyland Titan TD1 open staircase model with appropriate SHOWBUS
adverts as the special EFE promotional bus in Thames Valley livery for the event. You can win your own
model in our on-line competition. The new casting to be released at
Millennium Showbus is the Wright bodied singledeck bus on a Scania chassis in RoadCar livery.

Millennium Showbus takes on an Oriental flavour with Hong Kong model bus retailer Jotus taking a
stand in the stallholders area and Dave Rogers bringing his ex National Express and Hong Kong Citybus
Olympian from Swindon.
Look out for Leon Motors new Trident/Lolyne at the rally.
First are again major sponsors and we expect a large number of entries in the new corporate colours,
including a new Wright Solar from First Glasgow and from First Manchester an artic and a Mercedes Citaro.
