If you thought rush hour produced lines of buses, Saturday 1st July 2017, Canada Day, celebrated 150 years since the country's federation. On that day all buses were free and this line up is seen from the top deck of an Alexander Dennis Enviro500MMC heading east on the Mackenzie King Bridge. Just look at the crowds waiting for buses across the street many dressed in the national red colour. The Enviro is behind New Flyer D60LFR 6460, with New Flyer Invero 4364 ahead.

Earlier buses approaching the city from the west were held up for some time and passengers abandoned them to reach the city on foot. The reason for the hold up was that HRH Prince Charles and his motorcade crossed Slater Street after the official ceremonies on Parliament Hill, which were unfortunately drenched by heavy morning rain.
