Stagecoach West Bristol VRTSL3 ECW Cheltenham District 201
The Showbus at Cheltenham is ECW bodied Bristol VRTSL3 201 (JOU160P). It was delivered to Cheltenham District as a dual door bus in NBC green. After five years it spent a spell with Bristol but it returned to Cheltenham in 1983 gaining NBC poppy red in 1986 and converted to single door in 1988. It started to gain its special status when chosen to wear Diamond Jubilee livery in 1989 and for Cheltenahm District's centenary the following year. It gained Western Travel's red and cream swoop Cheltenham livery which gave way to Stagecoach stripes after they acquired the operation. In 2000 it transferred to Stagecoach Hampshire by then numbered 15760 and appeared at Millennium Showbus. It joined the Stagecoach preserved fleet in 2004 and returned to Cheltenham ten years later. It is a regular on the Cheltenham Cup special service. It is back in the centenary livery and was seen as such in July 2021 in Cheltenham depot.
