Seen in September 2011 at the top of Marlow Hill is Carousel EVL6 (PN02XCK), one of the few of the batch to have been painted out of London livery and given full Carousel insignia and a dark red dash. |
The bus at the same location a few weeks earlier still in the livery it wore as London General EVL26. |
At the foot of Marlow Hill in June 2012 is former EVL33 (PN02XCT), no longer an EVL as Carousel Buses fleetnumbers were integrated into the Oxford scheme on acquisition by Go-Ahead. It has become 922 in the series reserved for Oxford buses that are unable to get under the Oxford Station rail bridge on the Botley Road out of the city. |
Several changes befell Carousel on take over by Go-Ahead: fleet numbering, route changes and vehicles. Ousting the MCW Metrobuses, older Olympians and Ailsas from school contracts were a batch of Northern Counties Volvo Olympians painted in a blue livery. The colour possibly a hangover from the former West Midlands Metrobuses lettered for the Carousel Contract Fleet on their TWM blue livery. The buses have since acquired school insignia and quotes like "E=mc2" to denote their new roll. Carousel 928 (R267LGH), former London Central NV67, is seen at the foot of Marlow Hill in June 2012. |
Carousel 931 (R287LGH) awaits school children outside Wycombe High School towards the end of the 2012 Summer Term. It was London Central NV87. |
