This is a common sight in High Wycombe. In August 2017 Enviro200MMC 3110 climbs Corporation Street from the High Street. Buses have been banished from the High Street through route and have to run the gauntlet of thoughtlessly parked cars on the parallel narrow Castle Street. Prominent signage should have prevented the blue car trespassing on to the red painted sction of the road, but the signs have no effect. Signs deterring cars from entering the banned section of the High Street are ineffective, especially after 1800h. Since this photo was taken rising bollards have ensured the High Street remains closed on Market Days and for other occasions. Traffic cameras and signs to that effect were installed for enforcement of Corporation Street in 2022 but from the number of regular infringements they are either dummies or not switched on!
