Sporting Mayne's old colours is this East lancs bodied Scania, number 28 in the fleet.
Overtaking Bluebird's once Scottish Alexander bodied Metrobus in Piccadilly, is L114DNA, another
East Lancs bodied Scania, but this time in standard livery.

Courtesy of EFE is this picture of one of the VR fleet, many of which sported coach bodies for use on
Blackpool express trips at weekends. The Bristol VRs were sometimes confused with a different generation of
Mayne buses - AEC Regent Vs with registrations ending with just 'VR'. On occasion the wrong bus went
out of the depot!

The Maynes fleet has been part of the Manchester bus scene for many years and in this Bristol VR we have captured one of the many interesting liveries used by the company. Registered VJA 667S, fleet number 17 is on route 229 to Glossop (Royal Oak) via Motorway and Charlesworth. |
28001 Daimler DMS Type B MAYNES OF MANCHESTER. The first of our new models for 2002 is the modified DMS which now has the engine bustle exposed and new entrance doors. The attractive Maynes livery suits the vehicle and enables the expansion of this fleet. Registered OJD 131R, fleet number 1 is working route 357 to Ashton. |
