Possibly prediciting the livery above, back in 1982 Dicksons bought this Bova Europa, YUR827X, painted in the livery of Tor Holidays. The coach is seen in their Stoke Mandeville depot, which became the Motts' operational centre when they took Dicksons over shortly after this photo was taken. Their operation was scattered between Stoke Mandeville, an old Dicksons' yard at Kingsey, a yard behind a garage at Kingswood, a yard at teh Blinking Owl garage in Stone, the old Oxford at Thame and Upton. The last two were soon vacated after the Dickson takeover. Eventually Motts secured the new site at Stocklake enabling considerable savings by concentrating all activity on one site. The coach alongside the Bova is very interesting. New to Munda in Belgium registered 5774P in May 1977, the Jonckheere bodied Ford R1114 was bought by Excelsior Euorpean two years later and registered CFX328T before disposal to Dicksons.
