The oldest vehicle to make it to the 2008 Showbus was David Whitaker's 1936 Provincial AEC Regent I with Park Royal bodywork. The Regent and its companion Provincial AEC Regal 4 dating from 1934 are Showbus regulars and regular winners too.

East Kent were great AEC fans and their first Regent Vs copied neighbouring Southdown's Titan PD3s by having full front bodywork. Park Royal bodied PFN874 is seen arriving at Showbus.

Ensignbus repatriated RLH61 from the USA and have restored the classic lowbridge doubledecker to its former glory.

To everyone's delight, Ensignbus kindly made RLH61 (MXX261) available for a Duxford Tour and is seen here from the open top of the Citysightseeing Metrobus, also loaned by the Ensignbus team. Rob Passaway, one of the Showbus team can be seen working on the afternoon task of data entry. He is in charge of the computer program which produces the long list of Showbus winners, encompassing around 40 prizes in total.
