 From what was once Midland Red's Rugby depot came this impressive machine - one of Stagecoach's Megabus Volvo B12BT 65 seat three axle Plaxton bodied coaches, 54059 (KX59LDN).

The team from Rugby were happy to demonstrate the easy wheelchair access of their new coach to the SHOWBUS crowds.

 Another blue Stagecoach vehicle at SHOWBUS was 52504 (R784CDW) from South Wales. The Volvo B10M/Plaxton is in Western Welsh coach livery to commemorate eighty years of the former BET company. Several coaches from this batch have visited SHOWBUS over the years.

This bus is well worth more than a second look. It is odd in being a Stagecoach vehicle with Wright bodywork and the "Tram Replacement" destination display is not one that would be often seen in the UK. The bus is seen arriving at SHOWBUS from Stagecoach Yorkshire, hence the tram link. It was new to Scottish Highland operator Rapsons as their 299 (YJ04HLC) and adopted Stagecoach identity 21627 when Rapsons operations were acquired in 2008. The Wright bodied bus was transferred to Yorkshire where the acquired Yorkshire Traction fleet had a few similarly bodied vehicles, but more importantly, this bus has a DAF SB220 chassis. The DAF SB220/Wright is a rare combination, but the SB220 chassis fits well with Stagecoach Yorkshire's DAFs.

From what was United Counties came this MAN 18.240 with Alexander Dennis Enviro300, 22839 (KX09BHF) is seen arriving at SHOWBUS. The green "one" branding being an echo of the old United Counties.
