Newport's love of Scanias started with the MCW-Scania semi-integral Metro-Scania singledecker. One is seen in the Borehamwood yard of BTS, the company later taken over as Sovereign London and, later still, Transdev. It is in the exotic company of a former London Merlin, ex Duple Dominant Green Line Tiger TD25 (YPD125Y) and a pair of Alexander bodied Metrobuses. |

Former Newport Alexander Strider bodied Scania N113CRB 72 (L172EKG) joined Centrebus in Luton as their 172. It is seen approaching Luton Station in October 2013. |

Seen in April 2011 parked up at Dunsfold Park in Surrey are an identical combination of Alexander bodied Scania N113DRB buses: former Newport Transport 46 (F46YHB) and Travel West Midlands 3239 (H239LOM) still bearing Northern Blue livery and fleet number, 139, where it and several others of the batch had spent some time. Newport's too had been with Northern Blue as 146 and later 156 with Transdev Burnley & Pendle. |
