Seen at the 2011 London Bus Museum rally at the Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey is Emsworth & District DMS2045 (OUC45R). Thus bus has an interesting history after six years service, mostly from Uxbridge depot, it was sold to Ensign who loaned it to South Wales Transport, before selling it on to Wilts & Dorset as their 1907. They in turn loaned it to Maidstone & District/East Kent, as their 5041 for a spell in late 1991. Sold again in 1993, this time to Beestons who quickly sold it on to Bournemouth Transport (White Buses), as their 530 and they loaned it to Thamesdown for a month in 1994, and then back to Uxbridge for a month with Centrewest for a Bucks schools contract! In 1995 it went on to West Kingsdown Coach Sales numbered 45 and finally to Emsworth & District who fitted it with engine components from DMS855. |

Believed to be at Ensignbus' premises ready for service with Wiffens in September 1981 - the occasion when SHOWBUS was hurriedly moved there at the height of the Brixton riots - is DMS2094 (KJD94P). The Park Royal Leyland Fleetline had spent only five years in London service out of Stonebridge Park depot. Wiffens kept it for five years and sold it on to Dews of Somersham for a furthern seven. In 1994 it ended up as a static ticket office but numbered 39 in New York's Apple Tours fleet.

Also at Ensign's that day - amongst many other DMS - was this pair of Park Royal bodied Leylands. In front is GHV51N and GHV98N is thought to be behind. Both were destined for Blue Diamond in Harlow. The former ended up back in London red in preservation, passing through several preservaionists hands but after Harlow it went to Chadwell Heath with Pathfinder Coaches in 1985, returned to Ensigns in under two years before five years of service with Shorey's Travel of Maulden before preeervation started in 2002. The second bus, GHV98N, moved to Southern Star Coaches still in Harlow before ending up with Griffiths of Llangaistiolus in Anglesey as their C3 in late 1984. In 1986 it returned to Purfleet languishing for a year at Ensigns before becoming 27 in the fleet of Kettlewell Coaches in Retford eventually passing to Wigley scrap merchants in Carlton though it is reported that its front removed to repair DMS2058 (KJD58P), a bus which ended up with Bigbus in Philadelphia.
