London Buslines first doubledeckers were also its first buses, Daimler Fleetline DM doubledeckers, newly acquired from London Transport for an early tender success, route 81 from Hounslow to Slough on the western fringe of the LT network. Former Park Royal DM1078 (GHV78N) is seen at Colnbrook. On the opposite side of the road is a new Red Rover Leyland Tiger Plaxton Supreme IV Express 150 (VUD150X). The Fleetline was converted to open top for Big Bus in 1991 and in 2003 sent to Philadelphia as 345 in their operation out there. |

London DMS2089 (KJD89P) seen in West Wycombe served in the Prestwood Travel fleet for many years in this rather muddy looking livery, which probably looked better when first applied by previous owner, Simmonds Coaches of Letchworth.

The bus in all its glory outside Wycombe High School. The bus was acquired by Abbey Coaches with its takeover of Prestwood Travel in 2004 but it passed into preservation the follwing year. |

Two MCW bodied Leyland Fleetlines seen in Luton in the late eighties. On the left is Buffalo's Daimler CRL6, THM706M, former London Transport DM1706. It was withdrawn and scrapped in 1992. On the right is Red Rover 167 (OKW520R) a Leyland FE30AGR new as South Yorksire PTE 1520. Sandwiched in between is a Bristol VRTSL3 sporting Luton Bus NBC fleetnames.
